Personal Statement
My most important and influential job has been working for VT Merlin Communications in the Control Room of the BBC World Service. The job has shaped my outlook on my career, my life and my personal growth. The job taught me to be flexible in terms of new ideas, new technologies and new ways of thinking. I learnt how to maintain and adapt a wide range of systems from linked databases, to satellite distribution systems, all the while keeping in mind how the smallest details can effect different events for multiple customers.

I left the Control Room on good terms to travel the world and experience ‘life’, a task that over the last couple of years, I’ve embraced to the fullest, always striving to continue the learning process and build my personal growth in everything I do.

My most rewarding job was starting up The Jungle Drums magazine in Spain. I enjoyed feeling the stresses and pressures and rewards of starting a small business with a few other people. I left Spain for personal reasons and left the magazine in the capable hands of my colleauges. I'm really proud that it's still growing every month but a little sick that I'm not a part of it anymore. It has however, given me a determination to find other projects in the future and get that fantastic feeling of achivement again. I'm currently looking for projects and opportunities.
